CARY, N.C. (Aug. 15, 2024) — North Carolina Courage midfielder Manaka Matsukubo will represent Japan at the 2024 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, running from August 31 to September 22, the Japan Football Association announced Wednesday.

Japan will open group play against New Zealand on September 2, before facing Ghana on September 5 and Austria on September 8. All three matches will be available to stream via Telemundo and Fox Sports, full streaming information can be found here.

Manaka has scored one goal and added one assist in 12 regular season appearances for the Courage this season, while also adding another goal in the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup group stage. The midfielder has also created 18 chances in all competitions this season.
