NC Courage Announces Breast Cancer Awareness Night Set for Saturday, September 9
Several initiatives planned to raise awareness and benefit various charities

Cary, N.C. (Aug. 25, 2017)- The North Carolina Courage’s next home game on Saturday, Sept. 9 will be Breast Cancer Awareness Night as the team hosts the Houston Dash at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park at 7:30 p.m. ET, the club announced today.

In conjunction with longtime partners and front-of-jersey sponsor Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, the NC Courage will hold an online auction of limited-edition NC Courage Breast Cancer Awareness warm-up tops. Proceeds from this online auction will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Fans will also be able to bid on NC Courage signed sports bras for McCall Zerboni’s foundation MZ & Emmers, along with wine baskets and bags. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the V Foundation and Keep-A-Breast. Information and details on these auctions will be available in the coming days at www.nccourage.com.

Additionally, fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game in support of the evening’s breast cancer awareness initiatives. Breast cancer survivors, along with family members affected by breast cancer, will be recognized at halftime of the game on the field.

Fans will also have the opportunity to create signs on the concourse that can be made in support or in memory of their loved ones. Those signs will then be displayed at the stadium as part of a breast cancer awareness ribbon collage.
