CARY, NC (August 30, 2017) – The NC Courage has signed goalkeeper Caroline Stanley the club announced today. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Stanley is a goalkeeper replacement for Sabrina D’Angelo, who is sidelined due to illness. The 24-year-old Kansas City, Mo. Native most recently appeared in a game for the Orlando Pride, replacing injured goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris. She was waived on August 14, 2017 to make room for Harris’ return. A product of the University of Southern California, Stanley signed with Seattle Reign FC in 2015 appearing in one game. She spent the 2016 season with Sky Blue FC, appearing in 11 matches and recording a 67 percent save average and a 1.45 GAA. The NC Courage begins a two-game road trip tonight as it faces the Washington Spirit at 7:30 p.m. at Maureen Hendricks Field at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md. The team will then continue on to Chicago for a match against the Red Stars on Sunday, September 3, at 6:00 p.m.
