North Carolina Courage Players Return from International Duty

Cary, N.C. (June 15, 2018)- North Carolina Courage players McCall Zerboni, Crystal Dunn, Abby Dahlkemper, Merritt Mathias, Samantha Mewis and Denise O’Sullivan have returned to North Carolina this week after playing with their respective national teams during the June FIFA window. With their return, national team replacement players Sarah Teegarden, Morgan Reid, Ryan Williams and Frannie Crouse have been released but continue to train with the club.

During their time away, United State Women’s National Team players Zerboni, Dunn, Dahlkemper, Mathias and Mewis saw success with two victories over China PR on June 7 and June 14. On the other hand, O’Sullivan’s Ireland fell to Norway twice during the break in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Additionally, Michele Dalton who was signed to the NC Courage as a goalkeeper replacement for previously injured Sabrina D’Angelo has been released, as D’Angelo has been removed from the injury list ahead of Saturday’s game. The North Carolina Courage return to Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. ET to take on Utah Royals FC for the second time this season.
