Cary, NC (September 12, 2021) – The North Carolina Football Club teamed up with the global technology company Lenovo, on a multi-year agreement as technology provider and community engagement partner, the club announced today.
Lenovo, a Fortune Global 500 company with one of its two headquarters located in Morrisville, NC, and the North Carolina Football Club are focused on providing a positive impact in the Triangle. As the official technology partner of NCFC and the NC Courage, Lenovo aligns with the club’s mission to give back to those who serve, while also providing quality educational opportunities for our future leaders.
“We are thrilled to partner with Lenovo to both grow opportunities in our region to encourage and support STEM education, and to celebrate community heroes,” Club Owner and Chairman Steve Malik said. “Having such an outstanding technology brand extend the impact of their global headquarters here in the Triangle with programs to build our community is an incredibly meaningful partnership.”
Lenovo and the North Carolina Football Club will collaborate on two initiatives, the STEM in Soccer Education Program and the Community Heroes Appreciation Program.
The STEM in Soccer Education Program will provide hands-on learning experiences for elementary and middle school students and teachers in the Triangle area. The program’s curriculum will utilize soccer examples to enhance student interest and performance in STEM through engaging lessons and activities.
The Community Heroes Appreciation Program will celebrate and recognize heroes in the Triangle at various NC Courage and NCFC matches throughout the season. Through this program, tickets will be donated to military personnel, first responders, educators, and healthcare professionals, in addition to season-long special discounts and in-game recognitions. This program will kick-off on September 26 at NCFC’s home match against North Texas.
“Lenovo is proud to announce a new partnership with the North Carolina Football Club, who are not only winners on the field, but champions for our local Triangle community as well,” said Vlad Rozanovich, President, North America at Lenovo. “NCFC and the NC Courage share our commitment to investing in STEM education and in recognizing the heroes who make our community such a special place.”
