Uproar
NC Courage is proud to have an independent supporters group who passionately back our team and club. They call themselves the Uproar. The supporters groups sit in the South Stand at decked out with flags, smoke bombs and drums to produce an electric environment at WakeMed Soccer Stadium. Interested in joining a supporters group? Over the course of the 2019 NC Courage Season, Dave Warner and Patrick Sloan realized an opportunity existed to ignite better energy and enthusiasm in the south grandstands of Sahlen’ Stadium through chants and music. A supporters group was formed primarily to provide a specific outlet for rhythms and singing and planted in section 207 as The Nameless supporters group on June 13, 2019.
The group grew in size rapidly to 30-40 members in the first two weeks, and after a number of ideas were tossed around in group discussion, the group debuted on July 4th weekend as The Uproar. The concept continued to gather traction and provided marquee noise support at the Women’s International Champions Cup and the NWSL Championship Semifinal and Final events.
The Uproar are a group of soccer-loving people who are striving to create an exciting supporters group culture in, outside, and beyond the stadium. If you’ve been looking for friends who share your passion for the NC Courage, you’ve found us.
Ambush NC
AmbushNC is the newest supporters group for the North Carolina Courage. Founded in the 2023 season, we strive to create a vibrant and welcoming community of people who cheer for the Courage. Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned soccer-watching pro, all are welcome in this inclusive, fun, and uplifting atmosphere.
There are no membership fees, no required season ticket memberships or section-specific seating. All are welcome, and encouraged to watch games from wherever you are comfortable and your budget allows – all it takes to join AmbushNC is completing our interest form, or sending them an email. Virtual meetings are open to any member or those interested in learning more and growing the game.
Before each home game, Ambush host an accessible tailgate for all fans to be able to attend, in Lot B, near Field 2 and the West entrance to WakeMed – feel free to wander over and say ‘hi!’ and stay tuned for this year’s tailgate themes. The last home game tailgate of the season is ‘Nahas Night’, when they dressed like Sean Nahas and bring our best winning attitude, clean style, and signature scowl. You can also connect with them on Twitter and Instagram!
